Who is threatened by Gornakashvili?
A facebook page with the Name Zurab Gornakashviliwas created couple days ago. The very first post on the page was a letter from prison authored by the inmate convicted for the affiliation with terrorist group. The letter was bilingual: Russian and English. The letter was addressed to some “brotherhood” whom he was calling that it was high time to punish those individuals who reported him and BadurChopanashvili to the police and who acted as witnesses against him in the court. In the letter he was mentioning his own family members and wrote that not only his enemies, but his own family members let him down.
The letter stated:
“Salamaleichum My Brothers! Alah be your protector. I am feeling strong, the prison is not going to break me: I am the Salaphit and I can survive any challenge, I know Islam and I know the traditions of Islam. It is high time to held those responsible who incarcerated us, whoever it should not be your or my family members.
My case has been marked as highly confidential and we do not know who reported on us, but I know many of them betrayed us, they spoke against us in the court and they said everything they were not supposed to say. Among them were people whom we knew form their birth, like my sister Nanuli Gornakashvili–Jabrailova
Ruslan Kavtarashvili, Islam Pareulidze and Magadan Margoshvili. Today I will name only these people. I am telling you for now let them get what they have deserved, let this be the wish if Alah, for betrayal of his brothers!“
Facebook page form which this message was published has been deleted or deactivated. Till now the ministry if internal affairs is not making any official announcement: whether this was true or false.
Just to remind you that Tbilisi Civil Court has convicted Zurab Gornakashvili and Badur Chopanashvili were convicted for affiliation and support of terrorist activities. They were accused of intentional service to terrorists and terrorist organization, giving shelter to a terrorist and providing them with resources.
According to the court the case is related to the terrorist act that took place in 2017 on November 21 at Gabriel Salosi Street Tbilisi, Georgia, during which the terrorists blasted a bomb shell and fired intensively at the police and special forces.
The closed law suit resulted in announcing ZurabGornakashvili who was accused of committing the above mentioned crime, as guilty by the Court based on the submitted evidence. The court also fully acknowledged the reliability of written documents submitted by the prosecutor as valid, which was also acknowledged by Gornakashvili as genuine during the today’s lawsuit. Based on the decionGornakashvili was sentenced to 13 years in Prison.
