Even if Ana Dolidze resigns, she’s already violated the law – posted the non-judge member of Georgia’s High Council of Justice, Nazi Janezashvili in response to Ana Dolidze’s decision to sign a memorandum about establishing a new political platform alongside with Aleko Elisashvili, Levan Ioseliani and Levan Koberidze.
According to Nazi Janezashvili, the law forbids a non-judge member of the High Council of Justice to engage in politics.
“As it seems, the politics of throwing dust in people’s eyes continues. Ana Dolidze, a non-judge member of the High Council of Justice, is going to sign a memorandum of a new political platform today. Are there any more questions about Ana Dolidze’s political activities? I’ll reiterate, the law forbids a non-judge member of the High Council of Justice to engage in politics! When you are criticizing others for lack of transparency, openness and good faith, you should have a moral right to do so and shouldn’t be violating the law yourself. The following issue is especially important: Who’s financing the organization of a non-judge member of High Council of Justice and why is she administering its finances? Even if Ana Dolidze resigns today, she’s already violated the law”, – writes Nazi Janezashvili on her Facebook.
For the record, Aleko Elisashvili, Levan Ioseliani, Ana Dolidze and Levan Koberidze are going to sign a memorandum about establishing a new political platform today at 15:00. InterPressNews inquired whether Ana Dolidze plans to resign from a non-judge member position at High Court of Justice and come to politics; however, she’s refused to comment on the issue at this stage.
