President Zurabishvili thanks Security Services and states that they’ve stopped a criminal and provocative act which intended to destabilize country

I thank the State Security Service which has shown a high quality of professionalism and managed to evade an assassination attempt on time. We acknowledge that we’re dealing with a criminal and provocative act that intended to destabilize the country, – posted President Salome Zurabishvili on her Facebook.

“Human being and human life are the highest value and they’re protected by the constitution.

As a President and guarantor of the constitution, I thank the State Security Service that has shown a high quality of professionalism and managed to evade an assassination attempt on time. At the same time, we acknowledge that we’re dealing with a criminal and provocative act that intended to destabilize the country. I believe that the stability of our country, management of the epidemic, and inconvertible process of democratic development may annoy a lot; however, such destructive goal won’t be realized.

Instead of destabilization, Georgia has shown once again that it has the levers for stability, it’ll confront provocations and that it will peacefully reach the elections.
